This book did 3 very important life-changing things for me: 1) it helped me understand and accept my hyperthyroidism 2) it helped me treat it naturally 3) and it improved my overall wellbeing by helping me adjust my lifestyle.
I’ve been trying to lose weight ever since I was in high school but have never been successful. It was only last year that I found out that the cause of it is actually my hyperthyroidism. This book, like most health books, starts off with a detailed description of hyperthyroidism. It explains in detail the biology of it, the symptoms, the causes, and of course, the usual treatments. Despite being detailed and heavy in medical terms, the author wrote it in such a way that it was easy for me to understand. It was extremely informative but not to the point that it became overwhelming. It helped me assess my situation and determine if I needed to take drugs or not.
Moreover, not only was this program easy to understand, it was also easy and fun to follow. It’s called the “Four Phase Treament Plan.” This is what I love most about this program. It doesn’t just focus on addressing your hyperthyroidism but also encourages you to change and improve your lifestyle. It teaches you how to get all the proper nutrition your body needs by eating, sleeping, relaxing, and exercising right. It also suggests 12 different types of herbs that have been proven to be effective in treating hyperthyroidism and suggests good recipes for your diet. Instead of a medical book, it felt more like a wellness book made to inspire and empower.
Overall, I feel great. I haven’t lost that much weight yet but I feel wonderful. I have learned how to choose and live a healthier lifestyle by eating better, sleeping more, and exercising regularly. I feel so much healthier and, as a result, happier. I truly feel like I’m getting my whole life back!
